Our Favorite Indoor Playgrounds

One of the best parts of running Little Sprouts Play Studio is that we get to combine play with purpose. That means we’re always exploring, learning, and seeking inspiration to make our space better. Plus, we love letting our own kids have diverse play experiences!

After very thorough research (aka, chasing around our 1-, 3-, and 6-year-olds through different play spaces), we’ve rounded up our top picks. Each of these indoor playgrounds offers something unique, and we’re excited to share why they made our list!

🌟 The Playce (Jasper, Indiana) – Best for Kids of All Ages

The Playce hits the sweet spot for families with children at different stages. Whether your baby is crawling, your toddler is exploring, or your big kid is climbing, there’s something here for everyone. Their layout makes it easy to keep an eye on multiple kids, and they’ve nailed that “cozy but adventurous” feel that keeps you coming back.

🎨 Glow Worm (Louisville, Kentucky) – Best Aesthetics

Glow Worm is like stepping into an Instagram dream. Every corner is thoughtfully designed, with colors and setups that make you (and your kids) say wow. It’s the kind of place where you can’t stop taking pictures, and the kids can’t stop playing. If aesthetics inspire you, this one’s a must.

If your little loves sensory bins as much as ours do, Rainbow Bins is paradise. They offer rotating sensory activities that keep play fresh, engaging, and developmentally rich. Expect your kids to be mesmerized (and maybe expect a little mess—it’s worth it!).

🚜 Dig Dig for Kids (Fishers, Indiana) – Best for Boys Who Love to Get Dirty

Dig Dig is every construction-loving kid’s dream. Dirt, diggers, and plenty of space to explore—what more could you ask for? Our kids left this place absolutely thrilled (and covered in evidence of a great time).

🏰 The Magic House (Kirkwood, Missouri) – Best All-Day Adventure

If you’re looking for a destination play day, The Magic House is unbeatable. It’s huge, interactive, and worth every penny for a full day of fun. There’s so much to do that you’ll want to plan ahead and soak up every minute.

These play spaces have inspired us in so many ways—from their setups to their programming—and they remind us why play is such an essential part of childhood. If you’re ever near these locations, they’re well worth the visit!
